Abstract

We describe an annotation tool developed to assist in the creation of multimodal action-communication corpora from online massively multiplayer games, or MMGs.

Introduction

The aim of our project is to predict the real world characteristics of players of massively-multiplayer online games, such as Second Life (SL).

Annotation tools have been built for a variety of purposes.

Second Life Experiments

To generate player data, we rented an island in Second Life and developed an approximately two hour quest, the Case of the Missing Moonstone.
